    Regulators, designers, food processors, and installers will learn about the development of a low-cost system for treating high-strength wastewater. The highlight of the workshop is a tour of the treatment system.  An Ohio meat processor saved over $10 million dollars by treating their wastewater in a new way. The sand bioreactor system was developed based on research conducted at The Ohio State University.

    Hands-on workshop on small wastewater irrigation systems.  Suited for homes on sites with shallow soils to a limiting condition and as a part of a nutrient reduction program in sensitive watersheds.  Special emphasis on designing the system for winter irrigation.
