The Effects of Year-Round Irrigation of Landscape Plant Quality and Health in Ohio

Only 6.4% of Ohio’s land area is suitable for traditional septic systems. Almost half of Ohio’s land area has shallow depth soil. In these areas, irrigation as a dispersal method could improve landscape plant quality. 33% of plants died in the non-irrigated plot compared to no plant death in the irrigated plots.
